Job Description

• Marketing of Pecans in the National and International market. Marketing of other agriculture commodities.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Advanced Diploma / BTech Degree / Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or appropriate field of study
• 4 years relevant experience
• Experience in the agricultural industry: > 3 year
• Knowledge of Pecannuts and other Agricultural Commodity marketing
• Forex trading experience - Experience of commodity and exchange rate trading will be a advantagous
• Code 8 Driver's License and own vehicle
• Willing to travel daily
• Clear Criminal Record
• Medically fit

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of Purchasing and Marketing Plan for  International and national agricultural commodities;
• Development of a Marketing Plan and measurement of progress against the plan.
• Management of International Client Services and Relationships.
• Managing relationships with local buyers.
• Direct Marketing and participation in international conferences and trade shows.
• Building the GWK brand in Pecans (in-shell and kernels) and Groundnuts.
• Hedging of exchange rates and execution of exchange rate policy, along with related position reporting.
• Management of export debtors.
• Marketing of other new international traded products such as raisins and other nuts.
• Preparation of a "deal sheet" and reconciliation of budgeted profits versus actual profits.
• Ensuring product delivery and logistical efficiency.
• Conclude purchase and sale contracts and ensure that contract execution and administration is done according to procedure and contract terms.
• Represent GWK at International congresses and trade fairs if needed
• Identify opportunities or develop channels for purchase or sale of commodities
• Manage creditors and debtors;
• Manage Contract Execution and logistics
• Manage logistics supply chain of internationally traded commodities.
• Ensure compliance with all the relevant legislation.
• Execute departmental strategic plans
• Identify new business opportunities
• Ensure competitive products and services.
