    Compliance Administrator

    Job Description

    • TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Compliance Administrator within the Company Secretary, Legal and Compliance division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.

    Job Summary

    • This role involves supporting the Group Compliance function through the coordination of compliance activities, monitoring regulatory developments, maintaining compliance records, and assisting with compliance assessments across the TWK Group.
    • The Compliance Administrator plays a key role in promoting regulatory compliance, supporting awareness initiatives, and ensuring accurate reporting and record maintenance.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their potential impact, and communicate practical updates to the appropriate stakeholders
    • Maintain a central regulatory developments register, allocate responsible owners, and track implementation of required changes
    • Develop, maintain, and regularly review the regulatory framework and regulatory universe for each division, including applicable legislation, regulations, licences, permits, codes, standards, and internal requirements
    • Liaise with divisional stakeholders to identify compliance obligations and maintain evidence of compliance
    • Assist in developing and maintaining compliance risk management plans, monitoring schedules, checklists, and assessment tools
    • Conduct or coordinate risk-based compliance assessments and control testing across divisions to evaluate adherence to applicable requirements
    • Document compliance findings, track corrective actions, and monitor progress to closure
    • Compile monthly and quarterly compliance dashboards and management information for relevant stakeholders
    • Develop and coordinate compliance awareness initiatives, training activities, and related record-keeping
    • Assist with the review and maintenance of policies, procedures, and other compliance documentation
    • Maintain compliance calendars and monitor regulatory submissions, renewals, and key deadlines
    • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory information requests through the provision of documentation and information
    • Identify and escalate compliance risks, control weaknesses, and overdue actions to the appropriate stakeholders
    • Provide administrative and research support to the Group Compliance function and respond to routine compliance queries
    • Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in compliance, risk, governance, legal, or regulatory administration
    • Working knowledge of South African legislation relevant to corporate, operational and financial services environments (FICA, POPIA, and related legislation)
    • Relevant experience in regulatory research, legislative monitoring, and communicating regulatory developments
    • Experience in maintaining regulatory frameworks, compliance registers, monitoring plans, risk assessments and action trackers
    • Experience in preparing compliance reports, dashboards, newsletters, presentations, or awareness material
    • Familiarity with governance, risk and compliance systems or document-management tools (advantageous)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear obligations, controls, guidance and practical actions for different business divisions
    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in clear, business-friendly language
    • Excellent administrative, organisational, and record-keeping abilities
    • High level of integrity, discretion and ability to handle confidential information
    • Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and collaborate effectively across multiple divisions
    • Valid Driver's License (Code 08)
    • Willing to travel
