Compliance Analyst - Cape Town at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd.

To support the Astron Energy (Pty) Limited Ethics and Compliance Programme with onboarding (KYC) and third-party risk management. Whist the focus of the role will be on onboarding, this role may also assist with other aspects of the Astron Energy Ethics and Compliance Programme including training and management information tracking.

Ethics and Compliance Programme

Support the implementation Group Ethics and Compliance Programme at Astron Energy by:

• Conducting KYC and Third Party Due Diligence reviews for Astron Energy low and medium risk counterparties
• Supporting the Senior Compliance Analyst with the review of Astron Energy’s overnight screening matches.
• Updating the Group CGR platform including training trackers, policies implemented, actions closed, and the other requirements as per the Group procedures.
• Supporting with the preparation of training materials and organising training sessions.
• Escalating concerns and issues to Senior Management as appropriate and in a timely manner.

People Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Engage regularly with Group Compliance on the implementation of and reporting on the ethics and compliance programme.

Professional Qualification and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, related to accounting, legal or risk management is desirable.

Work Experience:

• 2 or more years of relevant work experience in Risk & Compliance Management
