    Compliance, Implementation Specialist

    Job Description:

    Here’s an exciting opportunity to join us.

    The Compliance Implementation Specialist will be positioned to support best-practice financial reporting controls in the Finance Transformation journey towards standardisation and sustainable compliance. 

    We have 2 Compliance Implementation Specialist roles.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Using your technical internal controls knowledge to understand best-practice financial reporting controls.

    • Interpreting gaps to best-practice financial reporting controls – understand impact, root cause and action needed to bring about improvement.

    • Translate observations into an executable plan.

    • Understand the efficacy of the action in meeting the objectives of the best-practice financial reporting control standards Work alongside relevant BU leads and control owners in implementing the financial reporting control standards.

    • Develop and deliver compliance training.

    • Align with key stakeholders within Anglo, External Auditors and third-party service providers.

    • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all relevant senior management and their teams.

    • Provide leadership across the project, working with peers and relevant others (including from other teams) to achieve the project objectives.

    • Develop a clear and aligned work plan for any contributing stakeholders to drive delivery of objectives and monitor the contribution of each stakeholder, holding them to account and provide regular and useful feedback to them to ensure delivery remains on track.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing / Finance / Risk

    • Professional designation (CPA or CA) required

    • Prior management role within in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Environment – i.e. within a SOX registrant; or as Audit or Advisory professional to SOX registrants

    • Specialist knowledge in interpretation and application of SOX standards

    • Strong project management and organizational skills
