The Compliance Implementation Specialist will be positioned to support best-practice financial reporting controls in the Finance Transformation journey towards standardisation and sustainable compliance.
We have 2 Compliance Implementation Specialist roles.
Key responsibilities:
Using your technical internal controls knowledge to understand best-practice financial reporting controls.
Interpreting gaps to best-practice financial reporting controls – understand impact, root cause and action needed to bring about improvement.
Translate observations into an executable plan.
Understand the efficacy of the action in meeting the objectives of the best-practice financial reporting control standards Work alongside relevant BU leads and control owners in implementing the financial reporting control standards.
Develop and deliver compliance training.
Align with key stakeholders within Anglo, External Auditors and third-party service providers.
Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all relevant senior management and their teams.
Provide leadership across the project, working with peers and relevant others (including from other teams) to achieve the project objectives.
Develop a clear and aligned work plan for any contributing stakeholders to drive delivery of objectives and monitor the contribution of each stakeholder, holding them to account and provide regular and useful feedback to them to ensure delivery remains on track.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing / Finance / Risk
Professional designation (CPA or CA) required
Prior management role within in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Environment – i.e. within a SOX registrant; or as Audit or Advisory professional to SOX registrants
Specialist knowledge in interpretation and application of SOX standards
Strong project management and organizational skills

Job Description:
Your responsibilities include:
Attend and conduct Safety meeting and participate in Risk assessments
Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
Exercise judgment with regards to replacement of components
Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
Attending to Breakdowns and emergencies as required
Calibrate and Maintenance of all equipment within the Control Solution
System Trouble Shooting and Hardware Problems resolution
Support on Existing instrumentation
This role is in the Engineering Department at a C2 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman.
Qualifications:
Matric or NQF Level 3
Anglo Recognised Instrumentation Mechanician Trade Certificate
To be successful, you will have the following experience:
At least 2 years’ experience as an Instrument Mechanician in the mining environment

The Principal – Renewable Energy Ecosystem is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Group renewables ecosystem action plans and ensures that the plan is aligned with the company strategy and informed by leading technology, market and policy developments.
Key responsibilities:
Set Business Expectations.
Benchmark and establish Group guidance for integrated renewable energy ecosystem management (cross border and cross business).
Lead the design of the virtual regional energy platform, with focus on System/Mine interface enabling electricity demand planning and optimized supply and price benefit.

Job Description:
The overall responsibility of the Principal Process Engineer would be to develop and deploy standardised operational standards across the concentrator operations. In addition, you will be accountable for:
Perform integrated short-term to medium-term planning for the Concentrators in alignment with the mining short-term planning and as an input into the metal accounting as part of the full business value chain.
Support the implementation of the identified P101 and tech-dev initiatives to ensure optimised concentrators capacity to deliver on plan and advise where required.
Advise on allocation of production resources i.e. people, material, and budgets to ensure availability of these resources to meet the production target.
In collaboration with the operations, identify key performance shortfalls and gaps, and critical areas of improvement, and facilitate resolutions where there are bottlenecks.
Collaboration with AS&R to ensure timeous maintenance and availability of equipment’s in line for production.
Support the operations with the implementation of the correct safety measures at the Concentrators in response to the EOF findings.
Monitor and report compliance with metrics, best practices, and applicable solutions.
Drive delivery of sustainability activities as relevant to discipline as set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time.
Participate in stakeholder engagements as relevant to the discipline and act consistently with sustainability expectations.
Adhere to Anglo American and compliance and governance requirements within the work area and function.
