The incumbent will manage inventories and ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules/requirements.
Ensuring material specifications meet quality standards and quantities necessary for production, tracking production volumes and trends, creating and maintaining inventory schedules and coordinating with internal departments.
The successful candidate will liaise with marketing regarding design changes as well as updating monthly sales forecasts.
The candidate will attend daily production meetings and keep them updated on all material issues (for example slow moving/non-moving items).
The candidate will also be responsible for the clearance of Import stock and logging of material claims.
Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will have a matric certificate, a three-year tertiary qualification in supply chain management, or a three-year tertiary qualification in accounting and have at least 2-3 years' experience in a similar position.
This person should produce accurate work, be detail oriented and possess strong communication (both verbal and written), have good administration skills, good time management and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate should also have excellent computer skills especially in MS office (mainly excel) and BC (Business Central).
