Compiling greenhouse gas inventories and carbon footprints
Identifying, screening, modelling and costing climate change mitigation measures
Developing and supporting the implementation of Net-Zero carbon or climate change mitigation strategies, policies and action plans (including target-setting, developing MACCs, Cost-benefit analysis)
Undertaking climate change risk assessments
Developing and implementing climate change MRV and carbon footprint systems
Supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement (including through NDC revision and biennial transparency reporting)
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in climate change, chemical engineering, environmental management or equivalent (Master’s degree will be an added advantage)
At least 4 years’ experience in climate change mitigation, GHG inventories and carbon foot printing
Basic knowledge of international climate reporting frameworks (e.g TCFD, IFRS S2, UNFCCC MRV framework, Paris Agreement ETF, King IV or IFC Performance Standards)
Understanding of national and international climate change laws, regulations, conventions and agreements
Must be technically competent and comfortable with MS: Excel and mathematical equations.
Added advantage: Experience with climate finance or climate change adaptation will be an added advantage
