About the Role:
We are looking for Consultant level candidates with 1-2 years of post-graduate experience to join our South Africa team in Johannesburg. Through formal and informal on the job learning, you will develop the skill set to become a leading advisor providing the best industry advice to our clients

What You'll Do:

• Analysis and modelling of financial performance (past and future) of an acquisition target
• Overall responsibility for delivery of smaller projects (direct with Partner / Director) or responsibility for standalone divisions / sections of FDD on larger projects (this will include buy or sell side, refinancing and equity raising transactions)
• Direct communication with the clients on key issues relating to your sections
• Direct communication and liaisons with M&A bankers and clients on appropriate presentation and business valuation of target opportunities, in line with diligence findings
• Preparation of information memorandum and investment documents for Private Equity clients
• Identification of key value drivers, SPA price adjustments, and deal breakers
• Effective communication with senior members of the team and clients
• Proactive development of internal and external relationships

How You'll Grow:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a self-starter with a strong accounting and/or finance background at the Consultant level. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to partner with our internal stakeholders globally on a wide variety of initiatives related to transaction services

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 1 year of M&A, transactions or valuations experience
• Working towards Chartered Accountant (CA) certification

Preferred Skills:

• Working towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification
• Previous experience at a Public Accounting or Consulting firm
