Consultant: Network Solutions Architect X6 at SITA SOC (Ltd)

Purpose of the job

• To gather and interpret business requirements, design, plan and implement technical solutions to ensure sustainability of the SITA next generation network (NGN) architecture, and to ensure secure and resilient delivery of all Network Technology Strategy services in accordance with various service level commitments.

Key Responsibility Area

• Design, plan, implement, and sustain the Converged Communication infrastructure architecture in order to ensure technical performance, availability and stability.
• Ensure sustainability in service delivery for Converged Communication provisioning technology architecture.
• Coordinate procurement of converged communication services or goods.
• Interact with various technology vendors to gather, benchmark, and develop complete technical specifications with required quality.
• Conduct industry research and build a business rational for introducing new technology or technology enhancements.
• Conduct research and benchmark when designing and implementing technical solutions.
• Facilitate the implementation of new or enhancement technology.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3-year National Diploma/Degree in IT or Engineering related field (Computer Science, Computer Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering (L/C) - at least NQF level 6 or a verified / certified alternative equivalent @ NQF Level 6. CCNP or CCDP plus CCIE Written Exam and TOGAF will be an added advantage.
• SDN competency is also highly desirable.
• Experience: 7 - 8 years’ experience in the provision of ICT solutions, within a Large Enterprise, Service Provider, or Public Sector environment.
