As a Content Editor for the Practical Guidance Canada team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across editorial operations and commercial functions. Your role will involve supporting content creation and maintenance, as well as handling administrative duties. These tasks include managing author contracts and invoices, creating and renewing product IDs, generating reports, and supporting various other projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Standardization of documents for online publishing purposes
Editing of manuscript for house style, grammar, and presentation
XML tagging for online presentation
Identification and electronic linking of product sets and online sources
Quality assurance testing and general editorial support
Document creation for training and editorial guidance purposes
Generate contracts and amendments for external author manuscripts / other external author-related tasks
Work with external author invoicing tasks as well as
Issuing/renewing product ID's
Create reports and presentations using available data
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. [NOTE: This position is production-work / administrative / clerical in nature and does not require a law degree]
Project management experience preferred
Programming background, xml tagging, and/or proven knowledge of automation tools such as Power Automate (preferred not required)
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and speak with customers and authors
Excellent MS office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint on PC (not Mac)
Experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau or Looker (preferred not required)
Ability to successfully lead and deliver projects using Lean/Agile approaches to support cross-functional business growth
