Job Overview

• As the Contract Specialist for Containers and Intermodal, you will collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and manage contracts that align with business objectives and legal requirements. Your primary focus will be on negotiating win-win outcomes, enhancing supplier relationships, and mitigating risks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers and stakeholders to develop contracts in line with business and legal requirements.
• Enable contracts in systems for stakeholder processing.
• Apply negotiation tactics to achieve win-win outcomes.
• Develop close relationships with suppliers, maximizing mutual value.
• Identify and mitigate supplier risks.
• Execute tasks to achieve outcomes within set deadlines.

• Develop negotiation plans based on sourcing intelligence.
• Execute sourcing events in line with sourcing plan directives.
• Understand and apply sourcing plans and commodity strategies.
• Negotiate contractual agreements to achieve effective outcomes.
• Comply with group policies and procedures.
• Support procurement transactions through applicable ERP systems.

Requirements

• Formal Education: University Bachelor's Degree
• Min Experience: At least 3 years in container shipping and general shipping knowledge advantageous

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Knowledge of industry trends and supplier relationship management
• Ability to analyse and interpret data for decision-making
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
