Control Engineering Technologist: Municipal Infrastructure (12 month contract), Ref no LG 20/2022 at Western Cape Government

Job Purpose    
The Department of Local Government, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified and competent individual to provide and manage technical advisory services and support by applying engineering principles and techniques to address engineering challenges through research. This position is based in Cape Town, CBD.

Minimum Requirements    

• Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) or relevant qualification;
• A minimum of six years post qualification experience;
• Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Technologist;
• A valid code B driving license

Key Performance Areas    

• Manage technical service and support in conjunction with engineers, technologists and associates in the field, workshops and technical office activities;
• Manage administrative and related functions;
• Provide input into the budgeting process;
• Research and development;
• Continuous professional development to keep up with new technologies.

Remuneration    

• All-inclusive salary package of R 762 816 - Grade A (OSD as prescribed).
