In this role you will be responsible for:

• The incumbent will report to the Chief Safety Officer and will be responsible for all functions relating to the position Officer (Risk) Jnr, the role’s purpose is to overview the business risk factors, assist with development processes to better evaluate and mitigate risks. The role is responsible for covering all disciplines and is multifaceted in that it covers legal, environmental safety and insurance risks
• Duties will include but not limited to, ensuring all administrative duties are updated and files, managing identified risks to optimum levels, development of risk profiles for equipment, monitoring and assisting in mitigation of risk, monitoring and review of risk assessment on a regular basis
• Compliance with the company’s HSEC system is essential. Ensuring implementation of management decisions, legal requirements, and the company standard/policies

About you:

• Grade 12
• Relevant Formal (NQF 6) HSEC Qualification entailing Risk Management
• HIRAC Certificate will be an advantage
• Minimum 2 Years’ experience with reference to risk Management in a mining environment
• Experience with Management of changes, IBRA, WRAC (Knowledge of application)
• Advanced Microsoft skills (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Visio; FrontPage; Outlook; MS Projects)
• Accurate and timeous completion of tasks (Results Driven)
