Job Description

• Optimi is looking for a highly experienced Copywriter to join the team. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
• The successful incumbent will support the business through professional writing, editing, and proofreading, ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in communications/journalism/Afrikaans and or English or related Degree or Diploma.
• 2-5 years of copywriting.
• Ability to translate from English to Afrikaans, and vice versa.
• Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Computer literate.
• Valid driver’s licence with own vehicle.

 DUTIES

• Write copy and create content for various platforms, including marketing campaigns, social media, internal and external communications, website content, blog articles, etc.
• Improve readability and clarity of all communication and marketing material.
• Proven experience in writing for different mediums (digital, print, social media, etc.) Portfolio to be submitted.
• Be a custodian of the language style guide and tone of voice of the company.
• Proofread copy to ensure that all copy is grammatically correct.
• Translate English copy to Afrikaans and vice versa if required.
• Keep up to date with the latest copywriting trends and techniques.
• Participate in setting marketing plans and strategies.
• Adhoc support to management and the rest of the business
