The Corporate Finance VP banker is a senior level professional responsible for assisting clients across the SSA in raising funds, facilitate trade and manage risk, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team(s). The overall objective of this role is to help drive origination across products, structure transactions in-line with bank’s credit appetite and execute efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Client Relationship Managers, Product Partners, ICM and Risk to drive corporate finance origination
Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management support
Develop deal origination strategy and drive effort across region in partnership with relevant products
Support Country Bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenue
Manage and develop the SSA Corporate Finance team juniors
Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, “best practices” and competitive landscape.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience
Sound understanding of the Corporate Banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations affecting it and the lending and credit approval process
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products.
