Corporate Lawyer -Johannesburg at Pinsent Masons

Owing to a substantial pipeline of work and potential opportunities, we are looking to expand our transactional services team in Johannesburg by recruiting a corporate lawyer with 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience. While this role will be based in Johannesburg, the successful candidate will be working with South African and international colleagues on corporate transactions across the continent.

We are looking for a technically excellent corporate lawyer with experience in corporate finance, M&A (domestic and cross-border) and private equity (beneficial, but not essential). The ideal candidate will have trained at a large South African or international firm and will have had exposure to top-tier corporate/M&A work. Experience in public company work would be beneficial but is not essential. 

In addition to having excellent technical skills, candidates will be commercially aware, with a strong knowledge of corporate activity and trends in the South African and regional markets. Candidates will also have excellent communication and project management skills.
