The minimum requirement is Grade 10, Matric will be an added advantage. Basic computer literacy will be an added advantage. At least 2 years’ experience in public health care service area after being permanently appointed. Have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Inherent requirement and skills: possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Basic Arithmetic and ability to give health talks. Have an eye for detail and a dedication to accuracy. Rotate in different areas within the hospital. Able to work from early hours and knock off late according to work requirements in line with conditions of employment.
Duties :
Welcome patients and visitors and provide health promotion activities which include health education and prevention. Control and maintain order in waiting areas. Queue management. Screen patients in the waiting areas and assist with their needs. Provision of customer care services such as directing patients to different service points and attending to their queries.
Resolve minor complaints and escalate when necessary. Provide training in complaints management, hospital services, patients’ rights, and responsibilities. Daily monitoring of patients’ waiting times and manual collection of data thereof. Collection of daily opinion of care survey in respective units. Comply with customer care duties as delegated by the supervisor. Participate in conducting patient experience of care survey. Comply with all relevant prescripts and regulations.
