    Creative Director (Bryanston, Sandton)

    Job Description

    CREATIVE LEADERSHIP

    • Ability to provide visionary leadership for the local team, whilst upholding the Global standards of the central Strategic Business Unit.
    • Ensure consistency and creative excellence across all channels and touchpoints.
    • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with Creative Leads in multiple locations, fostering the Power of One culture.
    • Ability to undertake briefs with great autonomy
    • Ability to articulate creative decision-making and present to senior stakeholders with passion and conviction.
    • A solutions-based outlook and approach to the day to day requirements that marry both production knowledge and understanding with a rigorous commitment to craft.

    HANDS-ON SKILLS

    • Demonstrate exceptional hands-on skill, across static and moving assets.
    • Uphold best-in-class craftsmanship across all outputs.
    • An impeccable eye for detail, championing brand consistency across channels and formats
    • Keen to stay at the forefront of emerging tools, trends and technologies to supercharge creative workflow.
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, in multiple countries to oversee, feedback and develop creative.

    Strategic ART DIRECTION

    • Experience with brand building and identity, for large scale brands.
    • A solid understanding of producing comms across the customer journey, from Awareness through to Consideration and Purchase.
    • Ability to translate brand strategy into tangible creative solutions, maintaining quality and impact.

    Quality assurance

    • Implement and uphold stringent QC measures to ensure all creative outputs meet the highest standards.
    • Conduct regular creative reviews to feedback, iterate and improve creative work, in line with Global brand guidelines.

    Production expertise

    • A proven track record of production, from print, digital, social and experiential.
    •  Experience with live-action shoots, working with internal production teams and external suppliers to maintain a creative vision.
    • Collaborate with external partners to deliver high -quality, on-budget productions.
    • Able to manage and oversee post-production processes from editing, sound design, VO, grade to the desired creative output.
    • An understanding of 3D, CGI production hugely beneficial.

    TEAM Management

    • Ability to work with Client Services / Traffic to ensure adequate creative resource allocation, balancing workloads and skillsets within the team.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to facilitate communication and ensure overall creative alignment.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior creative role in leading creative agencies
    • Experience working within global brand guidelines across all media
    • Ability to ensure quality and accuracy of creative execution
    • A driven and highly committed attitude
    • Hunger to perfect deliverables large and small
    • Solid communications skills (writing and speaking) in English, French a bonus
    • Client facing experience/strong presentation skills
    • A ‘team player’ who can bring together personalities across multiple geographies and build harmony within the developing culture.
