Credit Data Analyst x2: CEC at Blue Label Telecoms

JOB PURPOSE

The Credit Data Analyst role entails assisting the modelling and analytics team within CEC with all analytics and data needs. The analyst will investigate large data related to CellC Postpaid invoicing, collections and user insights. The main aim of the role is to provide detailed feedback to business on key business metrics and assist the modelling team in better understanding customer behaviour and credit experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analytics

• The core of the role involves applying statistical and analytical techniques to derive meaningful insights from the data
• Preparing, analysing and validating data to perform quantitative analysis for statistical and modelling data
• Explore data to understand its structure and characteristics
• This includes generating summary statistics, visualizing data distributions, and identifying patterns or trends
• Analyze aged debtor data and identify root causes of delays in cash collections, taking appropriate action to resolve outstanding payments and referring complex or contentious issues to line management

Data Reporting

• Maintain and investigate current reporting with a key focus on improving reporting to the executive team
• Development of new and dynamic reports based on key data insights and analytics performed
• Assisting the data and modelling team

Governance/Compliance

• Ensure that data handling practices adhere to data governance policies and relevant regulations, such as to protect data privacy and security

Work Collaboratively

• Honours degree in Computer Science; Informatics; Actuarial Science; or Engineering
• Masters Degree an advantage

EXPERIENCE

• 2 to 5 years’ experience in data analytics or business information
• Credit related experience would be beneficial but not required
