About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to manage our accounts payable processes effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely payments to suppliers, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating closely with various departments to support the financial integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and prepare invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial regulations and internal controls.
• Maintain supplier accounts by accurately documenting transactions and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and monitor payment schedules to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to support procurement and vendor management efforts, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Respond to supplier inquiries and resolve issues related to account balances and payments professionally and promptly.
• Contribute to the improvement of accounts payable processes and procedures for enhanced efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven track record in managing accounts payable, preferably in a similar role within a financial department.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in a high-volume accounting environment.
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles.
• Certification in bookkeeping or accounts payable practices would be advantageous.
