Creditors Clerk at Silica

Role Purpose:

• Full creditors function – obtaining authorisation, processing, payments, reconciliations, remittances
• Allocation of costs to cost centres
• Resolution of creditor’s queries
• Payment and cheque requisitions
• Maintenance of creditors information
• Credit application forms and ability to deal with queries from the bank
• Forex payments
• Ad-hoc schedules
• Ad-hoc payments
• Accruals
• Petty cash
• Filing and maintaining proper record keeping
• Assist with month end and general queriesGeneral assistance within team

Technical / Special Requirements (PC Skills / Product Knowledge / Specific Competencies)

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel and Power BI)
• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
• Accounting knowledge (B Com Accounting Preferred)
• Strong numeracy skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work fast and problem solve
• Strong people and communication skills
• Experience working in a similar role

Prior Work Experience / Background:

• Understanding of cost centres and ledger codes.
• Preparation of creditor’s reconciliations, processing, payments and remittances.
