    CRG Visual Merchandiser

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The Country Road Group Visual Merchandiser is accountable for implementing windows, in-store promotions and store merchandising in line with the visual merchandising direction to maximise sales. Visual Merchandising should follow and reflect the principles that underpin the store image and brand. To create engaging, visually compelling, and commercially effective store environments that enhance the customer shopping experience, drive sales through strategic product presentation and merchandising, and ensure consistent execution of brand standards across all stores.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level
    • Previous experience in a Visual Merchandise role within Retail
    • Available and flexible to work different shifts
    • Degree in Consumer Science would be advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Implement visual merchandising and promotional displays across stores in line with brand standards, VM guidelines, and individual store layouts.
    • Plan and execute floor moves with store management to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining visual standards.
    • Ensure the effective placement of signage, displays, mannequins, and merchandise to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
    • Maintain all visual merchandising assets, fixtures, signage, and mannequins in excellent condition and ensure store presentation standards are met.
    • Ensure fixtures and product placement align with approved floor plans and seasonal merchandising strategies.
    • Collaborate with management and store teams, providing feedback on promotional activities and merchandising effectiveness.
    • Conduct store walk-throughs with management following merchandising updates and floor changes.
    • Support the training and development of store teams in visual merchandising best practices.
    • Monitor stock availability and coordinate product launches to ensure new merchandise is displayed effectively and on time.
    • Liaise with stockroom and management teams regarding product performance, best sellers, and slow-moving stock to optimise merchandising strategies.
    • Contribute to achieving store sales targets, budgets, and operational goals through effective visual merchandising.
    • Comply with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements, including the correct use and maintenance of merchandising equipment.
    • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and after-hours activities as required, while continuously developing visual merchandising skills.
