Crop Science - Credit Analyst at Bayer

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Customer Financing and Credit Management Team manages EMEA Bayer Crop Science collections for Seeds and Traits, Crop Protection, Vegetables and Environmental Science division. The team is ensuring that Bayer CS incoming cash processes are controlled, effectively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our collection process thinking about financing solutions to offer to our farmers/distributors for increasing customer satisfactions and improve credit risk profile. You thrive on making processes more efficient and scalable, you work to ensure the highest level of quality of our credit operations and you proactively minimize operational and credit risk.

In the role you will support credit management activists in the region:

• Support the Credit risk management of the region in credit limit analysis and approvals. Support the collection of overdues while maximizing growth and minimizing losses and support Bayer CS on reaching Cash Flow Target
• Ensuring full compliance within Credit Policy.
• Provide active support to the Sales Force for Credit and related Customer Accounts topics; creating also awareness, in sales force, on the risks/opportunities related to credit management.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assuring the implementation of credit management procedures and controls in the IT systems, thus ensuring a continuous assessment and revision of customers credit limits; furthermore analysing customers financial statements is essential in order to provide a wide risk assessment.
• Trigger periodical collection process to enforce the collection and provide guidance to the Sales Force for specific intervention, take directly corrective actions on overdue on assigned customers, and activate the Legal department in case of cash collection issues, in order to optimize the recovery of receivables.
• Ensuring compliance with credit procedure in the daily sales process (release blocked orders, credit limit check) and provide an effective communication to sales organization directly interacting with the customer service and sales reps.

Supporting forward-thinking analysis to generate credit and cash management reports to support business decisions:

•  Support Budget, Forecast and Actual reports preparation through bridges and qualitative explanations;
•  Support Quarterly Exposure Reviews with Region;
•  Participation in any eventual Regional/Country B2C projects.

WHO YOU ARE

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Senior Certificate
• Bachelor in Business and Economics or any other relevant/equivalent title in Finance/Treasury/Risk Management (CFA,CIMA)
• 1-3 + Years of Business Finance Experience
