Responsibilities:

• Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies
• Investigate all incidents and accidents as per SOPs
• Ensure action is taken on all deviances identified.
• Ensure a safety-conscious working environment Maintenance Management
• Execute maintenance work by maintenance management policy
• Ensure that root cause failure analysis (RCFA) action plans are executed within assigned deadlines
• Assist subordinates with fault finding and technical analysis on machines
• Advises on applicable parts and components to be replaced or re-used
• Review planned maintenance work based on breakdowns and RCFAs
• Ensure that workforce is adequately equipped with tools and equipment to execute the required work safely and as per OEM standards
• Assist the maintenance manager to fill vacancies
• Review the performance of the engineering foremen on a monthly basis
• Manage workshop and plant discipline
• Initiate training and development matrix for the workforce and put action plans in place to fill the gaps
• Conduct monthly and quarterly inspections on all equipment
• Provide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance function

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• N4 or Equivalent Engineering Tertiary Qualification
• Fitter/Electric Trade Test Certificate
• 5 years of experience as a Supervisor or Foreman in the Crushing and Screening Industry
