Customer Infrastructure Consultant - JHB at RPMGlobal

Key Responsibilities

• Support software deployments, upgrades, data management and customer technical support.
• Assist with data migration and support of SQL databases.
• Provide technical consulting services to external and internal clients, related to administration of the RPMGlobal’s Enterprise and systems.
• Ensure that all projects are completed to the satisfaction of the client.
• Maintain a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Liaise with and assist other RPM offices as required.
• Work with the cloud team to implement and maintain the client hosted environments in Microsoft Azure.

About You

• Tertiary level IT qualifications, an industry certification (e.g. MSCE) or equivalent industry experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server technologies from an administration point of view.
• Experience working with AMT would be highly regarded.
• Experience in IT infrastructure and Windows systems
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), PowerShell, Terraform, JSON.
• Experience working in DevOps environment, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) toolsets and practices.
• Experience in Azure Automation, System Operations and Monitoring.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows server technologies and Transact-SQL.
• Experience deploying web services and SSL certificates mainly using IIS.
• Experience dealing directly with customers and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Experience deploying and maintaining software in complex enterprise environments.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Advanced English communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
• Ability to work autonomously but participate in and contribute to a global support team.
• Based in Gauteng and must be able to attend the Centurion office on a regular basis. and legally entitled to work in South Africa.

Highly Regarded Qualifications and Experience

• Working knowledge of SQL Server BI stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS) across multiple versions of SQL Server (2014, 2016 and 2019).
• Experience in enterprise integration utilising software such as SAP.
• Automation experience (e.g. PowerShell).
• Microsoft Azure certifications
