Cyber Security Architect at Capitec Bank

Our ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of hand on experience in any cybersecurity role
• 3+ years in a cybersecurity architecture position
• Understanding core principles like confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Knowledge of network topologies, cloud infrastructures, software architecture, data flow, and system design.
• Understanding encryption standards and practices to secure data transmissions.
• Expertise in securing cloud environments e.g. AWS
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate security tasks as well as IaS e.g. terraform
• Proficiency in automation tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of secure coding techniques to prevent vulnerabilities during the development process
• Able to formulate and document security policies, standards, guidelines and roadmaps. (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, POPIA, etc)

Education:

• Completed a BSc in Computer Science
• Certified in AWS either as a Solutions Architect or associate level

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP),
• Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP),
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• Knowledge of (Python, Terraform, PowerShell)
