MiX Telematics requires a Data Analyst / Management Accountant with a software/IT background. This role is based at the company’s Central Services Organisation in Stellenbosch, South Africa. We seek an individual who is passionate about numbers, finance and data, who will be responsible for understanding data, planning and predicting the future costs and performance of various technical aspects of the company.
Responsibilities:
Analyze financial and usage data and create financial and usage models for decision support.
Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
Perform management reporting for sections of the business that has current focus
Evaluate financial and usage performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts and make recommendations for improvements and regular management reviews.
Perform data mining and business intelligence.
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, Excel dashboards and data visualisations.
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation through forecasts and models.
Various ad hoc financial department projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree/Diploma in Finance/Information Systems
Financial and usage analysis experience
3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
Successful work experience as a Management Accountant / Data
Analyst
Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
High proficiency in financial and usage modelling
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
Collaborative with diverse teams
Relational skills, working tirelessly to build and maintain beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders
Good business acumen to balance risk and business objectives
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
Exposure to Amazon Web Services environment would be beneficial
