    Data Analyst

    • A global company based in Ballito is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to provide actionable commercial insights that support decision-making across Sales, Pricing, and Executive Leadership.
    • The role requires strong analytical skills and commercial acumen to improve forecasting accuracy, pricing governance, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

    Key tasks and Responsibilities:
    Data Management & Analytics:

    • Source, consolidate, clean, and validate data from accounting systems, SharePoint, Semantic Models and Excel-based data sources to ensure high data integrity and reporting accuracy.
    • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies, margin risks, and performance patterns.
    • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports using Excel.
    • Maintain data models to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
    • Automate recurring reports and data processes, significantly reducing manual effort and reporting turnaround time.
    • Develop KPIs, sales targets, budgets, and performance scorecards aligned to business objectives.
    • Ensure consistent metric definitions and governance across sales and business reporting.
    • Reporting on Sales Division performance.

    Pricing:

    • Maintain customer price books – Fuel and Lubricants.
    • Manage monthly price adjustments and maintain pricing accuracy across systems.
    • Liaise with sales teams to resolve pricing discrepancies and manage spot price variances.

    Business Development & Strategic Support:

    • Assist in tender submissions and new business development initiatives.
    • Compile client-facing communication information.
    • Provide analytical and presentation support.
    • Deliver data-driven insights to support growth strategies and margin optimisation.

    Requirements: 

    • Business related graduate
    • Minimum 2 years office / admin-based work experience in an operationally intensive business
    • Intermediate to advanced excel experience
    • Power BI experience advantageous but not required
