Data Delivery Excellence Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the data and analytics domain.
• Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and propose tailored data solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market presence.

Delivery Management:

• Oversee the delivery of data projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Manage project teams and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Implement best practices in delivery management to optimize efficiency and client satisfaction.

Experience in Data Architecture:

• Lead the design and development of scalable data architectures, employing industry best practices.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, including Kimball methodologies for structured data and vectorized models for unstructured and IoT streaming data.
• Architect solutions on cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure, but AWS experience is also valuable.

Experience in Data Governance & Compliance:

• Implement and maintain data governance frameworks in alignment with DAMA principles.
• Ensure data compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and manage data quality metrics, policies, and procedures.

Experience in DevOps & Agile Integration:

• Integrate DevOps practices into the data architecture and delivery process to ensure continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of data solutions.
• Drive agile delivery practices within the Data Delivery Excellence team, ensuring iterative and incremental development of data solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of data systems.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native data services, particularly within Azure and AWS ecosystems.
• Ability to integrate data from various sources, including IoT and unstructured data streams.
• Experience in designing and developing APIs for data integration and management.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Act as a key partner to the Data Lead, taking ownership of major projects andleading teams to successful delivery.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting best practices in data management.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring the team's growth and continuous improvement.

Industry Expertise:

• Experience in complex data environments such as financial services, telecommunications, or mining.
• Familiarity with industry-specific data challenges and solutions.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture, governance, and analytics.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, governance, and delivery roles.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing data governance frameworks, particularly DAMA.
• Extensive experience in data modeling (Kimball for structured, vectorized for unstructured, and IoT streaming data).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS considered).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, leading practices in data delivery, and DevOps integration.
• Experience in business development and sales within the data and analytics domain.
• Experience in delivery management, overseeing data projects from inception to completion.
