    The Oracle Cloud development is one of the biggest initiatives in the history of Oracle. We are introducing revolutionary SAAS, IAAS and PAAS products to the market place, and because many of these products are being built new, we are experiencing tremendous growth in our cloud storage product development team. Our systems move a huge amount of data and we need you to help build both the internal and external infrastructure to support it.

    We are looking for a data scientist to help gather/organize data and develop tools using Apex. The tools will support various internal organization that need to manage larger customer deployments. Understanding data flows, being able to build ERDs and develop tool in Apex is a must.     Desired Qualifications:
    The ideal candidate will have experience working with datasets from multiple sources. They should be comfortable working in SQL and Oracle databases. In addition, they need to have developed Apex applications in the past and be well versed in it. The candidate will be expected to create simple and complex Apex tools and the underlying infrastructure in ADW, including designing ERDs.  Specific experience the ideal candidate will demonstrate includes:

    • Experience with basic data analysis – simple stats and visualization

    • Experience with building ETL pipelines using Python (Data acquisition from multiple sources, manipulation, aggregation, and uploads)

    • Experience with Apex applications

    • Experience with data visualizations tools, such as Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Data Visualization, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI

    • Experience with ADW and SQL

    Additional Skills Sought:
    The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the following additional requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience working in data engineering and Apex projects

    • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms

    • Basic coding knowledge on Python

    • BS in Computer Science or Data Science 

    • Knowledge of AWS, OCI and/or other IaaS environments.

    • Knowledge of agile-based iterative development

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements

     Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

    As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

    Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
