Responsibilities

• Build and teach the company about deep learning, participate actively into the journey setup, from the discovery phase until the corporate data centric transformation
• Understand business, formulate problems, extract relevant information, develop models, pilot and A/B test results
• Work with supply chain and product teams to improve the overall efficacy of the system
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
• Mine data using state-of-the-art methods
• Extend company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
• Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytical tools and systems
• Last Mile and On Demand delivery agents travel distance and payment optimisation
• Last Mile Delivery customer distance optimisation - based on allocated and proximity hubs
• On Demand Services driver time utilisation optimisation
• On Demand Services dispatch operations optimisation
• Inventory Stock modeling for distributed warehousing
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expert in SQL, R, Python and Scala programming and query languages
• Experienced with big Data Technologies - Hadoop, Spark, Solr, Kafka, Sqoop, Hive etc…
• Experienced with visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI and Qliksense
• Minimum 3 years On Demand Services, E-Commerce experience
• Ability to communicate in flawless English, and French or Arabic (depending on base location)
• Strong spoken and written communication skills, able to explain complex ideas in a simple, intuitive manner,maintain good documentation of experiments/results
• Familiarity with working in a culturally diverse environment
• Excellent People, Problem-solving, Time management and Coordination skills
• Self-driven and great independent follow-through ability
• Strong entrepreneurial skills, leadership, and drive
