Data Support and Administrator at OneCart

OneCart is looking to hire a Data Support and Administrator, you will primarily turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. You will assist in discovering actionable information hidden in vast amounts of data, monitor performance and quality control to identify reporting improvements and help us make smarter decisions to deliver a better product and experience to our customers and partners.

CORE ACTIVITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Interpret data, analyse results using relevant statistical and/or visualisation techniques and provide ongoing reports through automation
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimise decision making
• Along with the rest of the team, acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems, including but not limited to:
• Qlik
• PopSQL
• Redash
• Customer.io
• Segment
• Firebase
• Google Ads, Analytics and Cloud Services
• Amazon Web Services
• Retool
• MySQL
• When I work
• Zendesk
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Work with management to prioritise business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
• The cleaning and organising of raw data.
• Using descriptive statistics to get a big-picture view of their data.
• Analysing interesting trends found in the data.
• Creating visualisations and dashboards to assist the company in interpreting and making informed decisions with the data.
• Presenting the results of technical analysis to the business or internal teams.

Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience

• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst, IT Tech, (Minimum 3 years of relevant experience)
• Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, Python, or ETL frameworks)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Matric, IT diploma, Information Management or equivalent
