Data Visualisation Specialist (Bellville ) at Econo Foods

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• The Data Visualisation Specialist will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into intuitive and visually compelling graphics that support data-driven decision-making. The role requires a mix of creativity, analytical thinking, and technical skills to create effective visual tools that communicate data insights clearly and effectively.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and Build Visualisations: Develop interactive dashboards, charts, and reports using Qlikense and also MS Excel.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable Visualisations.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be showcased visually.
• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data presented in visual outputs by validating and cross-checking data sources.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Document processes, maintain a library of design templates, and uphold visualization standards across the team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience of at least 2-3 years of experience in Data visualization, Data analysis, or a related role in a FMCG retail environment/industry.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., QlikSense, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI and Qlik nPrinting).
• Understand Qlik data modelling for purposes and building visualisation that uphold single version of the truth
• Have a good working knowledge of data tables (SQL)
• Have an understanding of retail metrics for FMCG.

Soft Skills:
