Eduvos is one of South Africa’s largest independent private higher education institutions with 12 campuses across the country and many international students. Eduvos offers 21 degrees in humanities, arts, business, science and law. To support the learning ladder of people seeking to enter degrees we also offer Higher Certificate and Pre-degree programmes that enable access to degree programmes.

The Position:
We are looking to recruit a Database Manager to join the Marketing team at Eduvos. The main objective of this role is to build and manage quality segmented databases for Eduvos and provide data driven insights to improve operational decision making.

Qualifications:

•  Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Statistics or Data Science plus qualification in Data Analytics/Analysis.

Experience:

•  At least five years’ experience in a data analytics role in Higher Education

Functional and technical competencies:

•  Data Analysis and reporting skills
•  Data mining Google Analytics
•  Microsoft Dynamics (or similar CRM)
•  Excellent command of written and verbal communication
•  Tech Savvy – understanding of social media and online platforms

Responsibilities
· Manages the integrity of the database

•  Segments data per target groups and campaigns for standard business requirements
•  Do regularly cleans and updates database to ensure overall health of the database
•  Creates new segments where required based on campaign requirements or data insights from various marketing channels

· Analyses data to provide data driven insights

•  Conducts in depth data mining and audience segmentation.
•  Identifies trends and variances in the database
•  Provides ongoing actional insights into campaign performance by identifying customer actions in the customer journey
•  Visualizes data trends and communicates findings to enhance marketing platforms and campaigns

· Plots and implements customer journeys based on data insights

•  Implements Customer nurturing workflows aligned to customer contact points throughout the campaign
•  Identifies and implements additional customer added value workflows based on available date to enhance user experience

· Reporting

•  Reports to Head of Marketing on overall database health and trends
•  Conducts post campaign analysis to improve future campaigns or marketing medium i.e website, social media user journey.
