RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a qualified Day Shift Foreman to oversee and manage the operations of their mining site in Limpopo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of workers to ensure the safe and efficient extraction of minerals from the site. The Day Shift Foreman will also be responsible for coordinating daily production activities, monitoring equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining personnel during the day shift
• Ensure the safe operation of mining equipment and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Monitor and maintain production targets and quality standards
• Manage and prioritize work schedules to meet production goals
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Provide ongoing training and support to mining personnel
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments and management
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of production activities
• Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during the shift

Essential Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of PGM flotation and Chrome recovery plant experience.
• At least 2 years' Supervisory experience
• Knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and safety protocols
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Knowledge of relevant mining regulations and legislation
