DC - Warehouse Manager
Boxer Superstores, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pick and Pay, is a rapidly growing Supermarket discount chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. Supply chain is a key component of this growth and as such, we are looking for two experienced Warehouse Managers, one for our Polokwane DC and the other for our East London DC.
Job Deliverables
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this position exists to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse, from inbound to outbound and everything in between.
Main Job Functions
Manage inbound and ensure picking and loading plan is met
Manage warehouse /logistics and transport planning
Manage controllable expenses
Check schedules for service and maintenance of machines/equipment
Meeting KPI’s – DC meets targets
Implement and monitor OHS
Staff management
Qualifications and experience
5 years warehousing experience, 3 of which must be in a managerial role
Must have transport and logistics experience
Knowledge of a WMS system is non-negotiable
An appropriate post matric qualification will be advantageous (e.g. Degree in Supply Chain)
