Delivery Manager at Averda

JOB PURPOSE 

• Lead, direct and develop the National operations in the Healthcare Logistics environment
• Govern the operational plan to meet contractual requirements
• Manage Logistics P&L and drive efficiencies.
• Support National Delivery Team
• People Management
• Comply with Health, Safety, Environment policies
• Risk Management, and Standard Operating Procedures

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead, direct and develop the operations in the country

• Operations or Service Lines lead(s)
• Propose operations budget and gain approval from the General Manager
• Manage capacity and competency requirements for new projects’ mobilisation and delivery
• Lead asset and fleet management including vehicle maintenance and repair
• Identify and implement cost optimisation opportunities
• Identify and implement service quality optimisation opportunities
• Develop partnerships and ensure connection and relationships with 3rd party service providers and key industry players

Govern operational plan to meet contractual requirements 

• Manage all projects in scope and ensure delivery of services with high quality and at minimal costs and risks
• Hold contract management and oversee compliance
• Monitor project financial performance and delivery of services as per Averda’s standards and intervene in operations if needed
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and conduct country level initiatives to optimise routes, dispatch, fulfilment, customer satisfaction, etc

Manage Logistics P&L and drive efficiencies. 

• Support General Manager in developing a go-to-market and client strategy to enable growth
• Support origination of new sales for existing clients and pass them over to commercial teams
• Support identification of business development opportunities
• Develop a personalised approach and dedicate focus to develop and retain the clients
• Oversee and align customer servicing is delivered for all projects as per Averda’s standards

Support National Delivery Team

• Provide market input and feedback to Internal Stake holders (Solutions and Innovation and Service Lines)
• Support execution of major projects led by Country and or Global teams
• Make available experts and teams to support country and / or global initiatives and contribute to the advisory network
• Run performance management of all direct reports and within the relevant business.
• Analyse, develop and report opportunities or vulnerabilities to assist in decision making of National Delivery team
• Support in rollout of corporate initiatives

People Management

• Build the operations team, optimising talents and growing individuals
• Manage the performance of the team
• Develop and maintain teamwork among all functional teams promoting the sharing of ideas and best practice
• Improve talent development and rotation programs where possible
• Report non-compliance cases and initiate actions as per ‘Managing Capability and Discipline Concerns Policy’

QUALIFICATIONS and KNOWLEDGE

Qualifications

• Degree in BBA or Bachelor in Logistics or Similar
• MBA (Advantageous)

Knowledge

• Fluent in English
• Wide knowledge of Environment Services and / or Healthcare industry
• Sound knowledge of financial management and wider Business management principles
• High level of awareness in the local market and key players and stakeholders
• High level of awareness of the local competitive landscape
