Senior Certificate Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows registration with the South African Dental Technician Council SADTC as Dental Technician 2026. Grade 1: qualified SA employees: none experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession where applicable in respect of employees who performed Community Service as required in SA.
Foreign qualified employees: one 1 year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession where applicable in respect of employees who performed Community Service as required in SA. Experience in Dental Laboratory Assistant will be an added advantage.
Knowledge: All dental technology disciplines. Oral anatomy and Tooth Morphology. Dental technology equipment and materials. All shortlisted candidates shall undertake a pre-entry practical exercise as part of the assessment method to determine the candidates suitability based on the posts technical and generic requirements.
Duties
Fabricate clinically acceptable dental prosthesis using appropriate materials and procedures. Carry out infection control procedures. Supervise a dental laboratory assistant. Maintain daily production registers and submit monthly production statistics. Comply with Continuous Professional Development CPD requirements. Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards.
