    Department Head: Sales

    Purpose Statement

    • To lead the Sales strategy for a designated segment or channel across a business unit through business planning, goal setting, standards and governance, principles and processes.
    • To enable and optimise performance standards, sales campaigns, deliver robust MIS and analytics and drive operational efficiencies, orchestrating collaboration with key stakeholders and partners to turn strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.

    Experience

    • 8+yrs generalist management in a senior role overseeing a large organisational unit with at least 5 years in a sales enablement, performance optimisation or strategy support role.
    • Or as a specialist in a leadership role such as a manger or head of a division in a bank
    • Proven experience of using influence and relationships to drive and achieve objectives. 
    • Experience of successfully leading, planning and managing banking/finance initiatives/campaigns/projects across a large organisation.
    • Where relevant, experience in multi-site operational coordination and supporting geographically dispersed teams. 
    • Track record in sales performance optimisation, ideally including campaign design, MIS reporting, and analytics.

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • Bachelor's Degree in Economic and Management Sciences or Accounting - Financial Accounting

    • Masters Degree in Economic and Management Sciences or Accounting - Financial Accounting

    Knowledge

    • Lending (term loans, overdrafts), trade finance, treasury product, and transactional banking. 
    • KPI frameworks, pipeline management, campaign ROI measurement, and incentive structures. 
    • Data visualisation, forecasting, segmentation and performance dashboards.
    • Workflows, credit decisioning, onboarding and service delivery optimization.
    • Banking regulations, governance standards, and risk management principles.
    • Expert knowledge of Banking best practice, banking management systems,
    • Commercial, business and financial principles and practices. 
    • Building and developing effective teams.
    • Governance and risk management principles
    • Business products, processes, policies and systems
    • Fundamental IT systems and data analysis
    • Quality principles and practice
