Minimum Requirements

• a Master’s Degree in applied or Mathematical Statistics
• at least 3 years lecturing experience
• evidence of publications in international and national peer reviewed journals
• a broad understanding of current research developments and teaching trends within the discipline
• knowledge and experience of various statistical software packages such as SPSS, SAS and R
   

Summary of Duties

• Perform related administrative and academic duties
• To conduct lectures and practical assessments in a classroom and a computer laboratory setting
• Ability to strengthen the department in the delivery of quality teaching and learning
• Ability to initiate various research projects and aid in the growth of research out of the department
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, strong leadership abilities and management and administrative skills
• Community engagement with statistical institutes
• Collaborate and engage with other universities and key stakeholders in the industry
• Entrepreneurial skills to broaden opportunities for a third-stream income in the department

• Experience in E-Learning
