Deputy Director – Risk Management at Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development

Requirements :

• Matric plus bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Risk Management/ Auditing or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA.
• 5 years relevant experience, at least 3 years at Junior Management (Assistant Director level) in Risk Management, Compliance, Business Continuity Management (BCM) and integrity management environment.
• A post-graduate qualification in risk management will be an added advantage.
• Valid driver’s license. Membership to the Institute of Risk Management South Africa or any relevant risk membership will be an added advantage.

COMPETENCIES:

• Computer literacy, Knowledge of risk and disaster management practices. In-depth knowledge of Public Service prescripts.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Planning and organizing skills. Independent and focused. Problem solving, decision making and innovation.
• Knowledge and understanding of Risk Management Competency Framework.
• Knowledge and application of Risk Management Standards, Risk Management methodology and Business Continuity Best Practice Guidelines
