Derived Works Analyst at Burgiss

About the role: 

The Derives Works Analyst will assist with the management and audit of Burgiss Data and all related activities ensuring Data and Universe Analytics products are supported by research-quality data.  If you have a passion for financial data and have exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills, this is a great opportunity to join a vibrant, fast growing and dynamic team that helps set the gold standard for research quality private capital data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the management of the Burgiss Manager Universe dataset productions through collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, Operations and other functional groups
• Manage production of licensed data files for clients
• Audit randomly selected samples of Burgiss Data (e.g. holdings transactions, entity profiles, entity fundamentals, etc.) to derive and report on data integrity KPIs including data accuracy, completeness and policy compliance.
• Develop and maintain data policy expertise
• Propose and implement changes to current methodologies, algorithms and calculations to continually improve on the existing production process
• Create and maintain all supporting documentation
• Participate in ad hoc projects of strategic importance to the firm

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 2-3+ years of experience working in financial data management
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or similar
• Excellent technical skills including Excel, SQL, and databases
