Design Draughtsman at PERI

Summary of Role

• Provide most technically effective solution for client and most cost effective for PERI on standard applications.
• Learn the components of the key PERI systems used in our region.
• Learn how to prepare calculations in line with design office requirements.
• Learn the digital offerings within the subsidiary and how to apply these in our day-to-day design.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Correct design of standard formwork/scaffolding solutions (shop, assembly and fabrication drawings).
• Accurate preparation of material lists.
• Gain knowledge of PERI design processes and products.
• Communicate relevant information with other departments.
• Design of final technical solution to be delivered to site.
• Design utilising key Value Based Pricing items and available stock.
• Learn from Manager how to provide technical project management with focus on material value, cost, and time schedule.
• Manage technical change requests that lead to variation orders and create awareness with sales team.
• Align with Operations on delivery times, portfolio, and material availability.
• To have a proactive responsibility and awareness for OHSA procedures related to the area of responsibility.
• Learn digitization tools provided by PERI to increase productivity (Elpos, Quicksolve etc).

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of formwork experience.
• Civil Engineering National Diploma /  Degree

Skills & Attributes

• • IT proficient (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • A good knowledge of AutoCAD to be utilised to develop understanding of the PERICAD software.
  • Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Strong work ethic, open and reliable.
  • Trustworthy and honest.
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to gain knowledge of systems, procedures, calculations, and digital applications.
