Design Engineer at Blackstone TEK

Responsibilities

• Understanding design briefs
• Designing for manufacture using CAD for innovative projects
• Detailing
• Product prototyping
• FEA analysis
• Creation of process documentation
• Experimental procedures and reporting thereon
• Production process development and improvement
• Troubleshooting and problem solving in manufacturing processes
• Client communication and progress reports

Preferred experience and characteristics

• Experience in SolidWorks or other CAD design programs is essential.
• Engineering degree or diploma in mechanical or industrial engineering
• At least one year work experience in an engineering environment, composites knowledge
• and experience preferred.
• Sound understanding and implementation of engineering processes and project work;
• Interest and ability in design
• A practical, action-oriented self-starter that can follow direction and work without constant supervision, someone who works well independently and as part of a team.
• Meticulous and accurate with a demonstrated work ethic. Strong accountability and a true ownership mentality.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
