Desktop Engineer - Ethekwini at Datacentrix

Managed Talent Solutions' external client in the Healthcare industry is looking for a Desktop Engineer with at least 5 years end user support experience. The Desktop Engineer will provide IT support to Level 1 support engineers and end-users on various components of the IT environment, including but not limited to: Hardware support, software support and network support.

Key Work Output and Accountabilities:

• Deployment of business applications
• Deployment of LAN Network Infrastructure
• Second line technical support
• Support of Active Directory
• Management of Backups and Endpoint Security
• Third party vendor call management
• Flexibility of working hours
• Ability to travel within and across regions to provide support

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Microsoft Certification (O365, ITIL 4, A+ and N+)
• 5 years’ work experience working as a L2 support engineer
• Troubleshooting experience on Server/VM environments (in order to escalate to outsource provider)
• Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Experience/qualification in the following areas would be advantageous:
• COBIT 2019, CSCCM, CCNA, CCNP,ECMS1, ACSA, NSE4, Mimecast and SAP
