Despatch Clerk at RCL Foods

• RCL FOODS is currently recruiting for a well-experienced Despatch Clerk to join their Speciality Business Unit in Centurion. The Despatch Clerk will be responsible for acting as a company representative at the customer DC and accept stock from the plant(s) and to verify stock received against invoices/consignment notes from the plants. Liaise with the DC staff and relevant plant(s) to resolve any discrepancies and minimize and short receipts and/or losses.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12/Equivalent NQF 4 Qualification/ Applicable RPL (Recognized Prior Learning).
• 1 years’ relevant experience in a store or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of receiving and despatch principles and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Receiving and checking of stock
• Checking of temperature setting 
• Checking of invoices, tripsheet and paperwork are included in delivery
• Customer Equipment (lugs and dolleys) and Returnable Packaging
• Customer Equipment and Returnable Packaging 
• Assist the driver(s) with ERNs and liase with the equipment center on equipment types and quantities to be loaded
• Check totals received by lug type against the drivers trip sheet to ensure equipment are receipted correctly
• Safety and Security 
• Comply with applicable company policies including health, safety, environment risk and quality including HACCP/ISO 
• Conduct housekeeping in accordance with standard operating procedures 
• Documentation, Administration and Reporting
• Ensure all GRN's, ERN's and any other relevant documents are checked and signed
• Ensure all documents, invoices/consignment notes are signed by the customer DC staff
• Effective Teamwork and Self-Management
• Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising and self development 
• Demonstrate willingness to help others and "go the extra mile" to meet team targets objectives

• Minimize values of losses, damage to product with receiving process

General 

• Assist in any activities or tasks as requested by the Despatch Supervisor and/or DC staff
