    Promotions & Merchandising Supervisor

    • The suitable candidate will be required to manage an efficient and effective merchandising and promotions team through on-job training, motivation, coaching, and staff development in order to deliver merchandising/promotion strategies that are superior to the competition and meet merchandising targets.

    The role will be based in Durban and report to the Promoter Supervisor. 

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education

    • Matric and relevant tertiary qualification. Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Experience

    • Code 08 unendorsed driver’s license with own reliable vehicle 
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Merchandising environment, preferably from the FMCG industry

    General

    • May be required to work over weekends and public holidays
    • Expected to work overtime as required
    • An essential part of this role includes regular travel to customers within the KZN Territory. 

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Merchandising Management - General

    • Overall management of in-store maintenance by merchandisers – Price Labels/Driving Share of Shelf/Stock on Shelf/Stock Rotation etc.
    • Motivate, Coach, and Develop the merchandising field force – so as to ensure that the merchandising team understands the relevant principals and Merchandising & Marketing Standards.
    • Develop, implement, and manage the merchandiser territory cover plans & ensure effective deployment of merchandising field force on a daily basis.
    • Manage the merchandising field force effectiveness in trade (Rate of Sale, Returns, Crate Management).
    • Also, initiate own value-added initiatives within the regions, and make such recommendations to the company’s management.
    • Conduct regular analysis and feedback of merchandisers to the Marketing manager and make suggestions as and where applicable to increase the effectiveness of Merchandisers.
    • Negotiate space for Sunshine products per store and optimum shelf space and placement.

    Promotions Planning and Implementation

    • Working with Marketing Asst. drive the development of quarterly store planograms.
    • Ensure effective implementation of planograms.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities.

    Promotions Management - General

    • Overall management of in-store maintenance by promoters – PMGs/Promotional Displays/Gondola Ends/Pricing Strategies/Price Labels/Driving Share of Shelf etc.
    • Motivate, Coach, and Develop the promoter field force – so as to ensure that they understand the relevant principals and Promoting & Marketing Standards.
    • Based on direction from the Marketing manager develop, implement, and manage the promoter territory cover plans & ensure effective deployment of promotions field force on a daily basis to support promotions being implemented.
    • Manage the promoting field force effectiveness in trade.
    • Specific promotional period P.O.S / promotions execution and displays.
    • Timeous delivery of P.O.S and promotional items to the trade.
    • Timeous collection of promotion period P.O.S.
    • Manage & maintain effective P.O.S. / promotional records within given territories.
    • Also, initiate own value-added initiatives within the regions, and make such recommendations to the company’s management.
    • Conduct regular analysis and feedback of promotional activities to the Marketing manager and make suggestions as and where applicable to increase the effectiveness of promotional activities undertaken.
    • Monitor post-promotion sales and make suggestions or recommendations to maintain sales achieved during promotional activities.

    Effective Personnel Administration and Management

    • Ensure roster is in place for Merchandising/Promotions staff.
    • Ensure all stores are covered at all times implementing a backup plan for any absenteeism.
    • Monitor the performance of the merchandising/promotions workforce.
    • Give regular feedback to management on personnel performance.
    • Ensure the merchandiser/promoter incentive scheme is effectively implemented and monitored.
    • Ensure timeous submission of figures relating to incentive scheme and calculation of wages.
    • Where and when necessary, institute relevant performance management processes.
    • Ongoing development and training of merchandising/promotional workforce.

    Customer Liaison

    • Manage store-level relationships; provide feedback to sales and marketing manager regarding store-specific issues.
    • Where applicable (e.g. Makro, Game), develop relationships with store-level buyers.
    • Manage customer complaints on Sunshine products; ensure all complaints are relayed to Head Office using the official customer complaints process.
    • Management of communication of any stock issues; stock difficulties, stock-outs, deliveries, etc.

    Sales Management – General

    • Oversee sales orders on a daily basis and conduct sense-check to verify accuracy. Where necessary, in conjunction with the store amend the order.
    • Overall management of returns by merchandising/promotions staff. Identify areas of weakness and implement corrective actions.
    • Manage sales targets through monitoring.
    • Monitor and communicate pricing in stores, investigating identified discrepancies. Confirmation of pricing and list price in accordance with the cycle deal sheet.
    • Assist with the completion of paperwork for new account applications.
    • Ensure effective communication of any pack changes and new product innovations to the workforce and customers.
    • Monitor returns per store and reasons for returns. Develop and implement corrective actions.
    • Monitor crate management per store and reasons for discrepancies. Develop and implement corrective actions

    Internal Audit Manager

    The candidate must have a proven track record in independently managing audits, conducting investigations, and managing ad-hoc projects.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered: 

    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), 
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), 
    • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or 
    • Chartered Accountant (CA) 
    • 2 years management experience
    • Over 3 years technical relevant experience as an auditor or technical professional.
    • At least 3 years experience in auditing activities.
    • Good understanding of King Report, COSO framework, IPPF, etc.
    • Understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors IIA
    • Experience in Data Analytics and Data Visualization (e.g. Power BI reporting creation and analysis)
    • Experience with IT General controls and Application controls.
    • Cyber Security and Digital and AI experience would be advantageous.
    • Experience in conducting forensic investigations and dealing with external investigators is advantageous.
    • Good knowledge and understanding of Project Management principles.
    • Understanding of the industry/similar industry and related business risks and the capacity to assimilate and apply this understanding to the benefit of the organization.
    • Broad knowledge of Group operations and systems.
    • Flexible to travel nationally

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Management of the planning, execution, and reporting of assurance activities.
    • Management of Forensic Investigations.
    • Management of audit staff and outsourced resources.
    • Lead close-out meetings with process owners to discuss and finalize the audit report.
    • Compile monthly board packs on audits conducted.
    • Drive improved awareness regarding internal audits and the importance of a sound control environment.
    • Contribute to project steering committees concerning system/process enhancements.
    • Assess whether ad-hoc requests require an audit investigation.
    • Evaluate regulatory compliance programs.
    • Drive data analytics and data visualization across multiple systems to identify correlations and trends.

    Stock Allocations Planner

    • his position exists to liaise closely with CD, Planning and Vector teams to ensure customer service is achieved and efficiencies continuously improved.  To manage the operational customer relationship including service and delivery related queries.   To coordinate flawless execution and delivery of key promotional events

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Undergrad Degree in Supply Chain Logistics or Business

    Manager Inventory and Projects

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Degree in Commerce/ Supply Chain/Logistics Management or equivalent.

    Despatch Clerk

    • RCL FOODS is currently recruiting for a well-experienced Despatch Clerk to join their Speciality Business Unit in Centurion. The Despatch Clerk will be responsible for acting as a company representative at the customer DC and accept stock from the plant(s) and to verify stock received against invoices/consignment notes from the plants. Liaise with the DC staff and relevant plant(s) to resolve any discrepancies and minimize and short receipts and/or losses.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12/Equivalent NQF 4 Qualification/ Applicable RPL (Recognized Prior Learning).
    • 1 years’ relevant experience in a store or warehouse environment.
    • Knowledge of receiving and despatch principles and procedures.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Receiving and checking of stock
    • Checking of temperature setting 
    • Checking of invoices, tripsheet and paperwork are included in delivery
