Developer: Digital Solutions at Capitec Bank

Capitec Bank's digital footprint and ecosystem is rapidly evolving to help clients bank better and live better.

As part of the digital solutions team, you will be directly involved in and responsible for driving the bank's digital future by working in one of our digital delivery teams that design and build the digital initiatives of the organisation.

We work on a broad range of digital challenges, from those that optimise the business like new forms of self-service banking apps, client communication technologies, etc. to those that transform like new digital services, business models and APIs.

Our culture is one of strong collaboration, using agile and design thinking methodologies on a daily basis. You will be working in a full stack team of professionals including product owners, business analysts, system architects, solutions architects and developers.

Experience

•  2 - 5 years' proven experience in software development, project delivery & implementation

Experience in the following development technologies or similar Methodologies: 

Required:

• Agile
• Object-oriented Development
• Web API & RESTful web services Ideal:
• MVC design patterns
• Unified Modelling Language
• Cloud architecture & platforms • Web Technologies: Required:
• HTML5
• CSS3
• Javascript (latest standards) Advantageous:
• Building native Web Components
• NodeJS
• React, Angular, VueJS • Programming Languages: Required:
• NodeJS Ideal:
• ASP.Net (C#)
• Java 

 Database Technologies:

 Required:

• Relational, e.g. SQL Server 2012 Advantageous:
• NoSQL, e.g. MongoDB, CloudantDB.
• Embedded, e.g. h2db, mdf, SQLite • Mobile Technologies (Ideal):
• Cross Platform, e.g. Cordova, PhoneGap
• Android - Android Studio
• iOS - xcode Qualifications (Minimum) • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
•  A relevant degree in Information Technology

Knowledge
Must have detailed knowledge of:

•  IT systems development processes (SDLC)
•  Application, Web & Mobile development
