Our client, a well-established company in the passenger transport industry, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with heavy-duty vehicle experience who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and keeping fleet vehicles operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on fleet vehicles.
Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic equipment and implement effective repairs.
Service and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified Diesel Technician with relevant trade qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
Experience working on heavy-duty vehicles (Volvo bus experience advantageous).
Proficient in using Volvo Tech Tool and other diagnostic equipment.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Valid driver's licence with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
