An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Finance or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA. At least five (5) years Finance experience at middle / senior managerial level. Valid driver’s licence. Knowledge of procurement legislation, procedures and processes including the supply chain management framework and asset management guidelines.
Duties
To render expenditure management services. Manage payment services. Manage salary administration services. Overseeing the management of payments, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This includes managing budgets. Monitoring expenditure and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure that payment processes align with government regulations and standards.
This includes developing and updating payment policies as needed. Ensuring that all payment processes are subject to regular audits and comply with internal and external audit requirements. This helps maintain transparency and accountability in financial operations. Identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with payment processes. This involves implementing controls to prevent fraud and errors in financial transactions. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including other government departments, suppliers and service providers, to ensure smooth payment operations. This includes resolving any payment related issues that may arise. Preparing financial reports and analyses to provide insights into payment trends and performance. This helps inform decision making and improve financial management practices.
